【跨越海洋的天籟！8/23「桃山國小」 × 「北加州台灣會館」 文化交流圓滿成功】
位於台灣-新竹縣五峰鄉的「桃山國小」全校雖然不到 60 人，但憑著對音樂的熱情與天賦，表現極為傑出——不僅兩度榮獲《傳藝金曲獎》、於國慶大典領唱國歌，日前更勇奪日本東京國際合唱大賽金質獎！
特別感謝 TCSA 北加州台灣文體會的安排與促成！「桃山國小合唱團」師生一行 30幾人此次前來加州灣區，先是在 8/22 的童玩節帶來精彩表演，隔天 8/23 便來到「北加州台灣會館」進行交流參訪，帶著滿滿的榮耀，將原住民族震撼的天籟美聲分享給大家！
同時也非常感謝 僑委會金山灣區僑教中心 OCAC in Milpitas 王偉讚主任等貴賓熱情蒞臨，與大家一同感受這份美好的文化震撼！

心意滿滿交流：「北加州台灣會館」致贈「TAC紀念手提包」；「桃山國小」亦準備精緻的「泰雅杵臼相框」回贈，作為彼此美好的紀念。
泰雅編織體驗與溫馨互動：大家難得體驗「泰雅編織書籤」簡易手作活動，一同感受部落傳統工藝之美；「桃山國小」的師生們也在各組桌位上與大家熱情交流、溫馨互動！

[Heavenly Voices Across the Ocean! "Taoshan Elementary School" × "Taiwanese American Center of Northern California" Cultural Exchange Event a Grand Success]
Located in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Taoshan Elementary School has fewer than 60 students in total, yet their extraordinary passion and talent for music have earned them remarkable achievements—winning two Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts & Music, leading the national anthem singing at the Taiwan National Day Celebration, and recently winning the Gold Prize at the Tokyo International Choir Competition!
Special thanks to TCSA (Taiwanese Cultural & Sports Association) for organizing and making this event possible! A delegation of over 30 students and teachers from the "Taoshan Elementary School Choir" visited the Bay Area, performing brilliantly at the Kids Fun Festival on August 22nd, followed by a cultural exchange visit to the "Taiwanese American Center of Northern California"(TACNC) on August 23rd, bringing their proud achievements and breathtaking Indigenous harmonies to share with us all!
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Director Wei-Zan Wang of OCAC in Milpitas, along with other distinguished guests for attending and sharing in this magnificent cultural celebration!
*** The event was packed with touching moments and joy:
Heavenly Harmonies Symphony: Teachers and the choir from "Taoshan Elementary School" delivered breathtaking Indigenous performances; the energetic performance by the children of the "Taiwan School" Children's Choir also drew enthusiastic applause from the entire audience!
Heartfelt Keepsake Exchange: TACNC presented "TAC Commemorative Tote Bags"; "Taoshan Elementary School" presented fine "Atayal Pestle & Mortar Picture Frames" in return as a cherished memory for both sides.
Atayal Weaving Workshop & Warm Interactions: Attendees got a rare hands-on experience crafting simple "Atayal Woven Bookmarks," appreciating the beauty of traditional tribal craftsmanship; teachers and students from "Taoshan Elementary School" also joined tables to warmly interact and converse with guests!
Atayal Language & Cultural Exchange: Teachers from "Taoshan Elementary School" passionately shared Atayal culture and language teaching, creating an engaging and lively learning environment!
Handcrafted Refreshments: Teachers and staff from "Taiwan School" specially prepared fresh, handcrafted boba milk tea on-site to welcome all attendees. Served alongside delicious tea snacks, everyone got to indulge in a delightful afternoon tea while enjoying the cultural feast

🎬 電影是我們看自己的鏡子，也是世界看台灣的窗戶。
「北加州台灣會館」將於下半年與「耕南書院」、「北加州台灣文體會」及多個灣區社團共同主辦「2026 台灣國際民主誌影展・島嶼光影灣區影展」。今年影展以「未竟的自由」為年度主題，講述著民主的勇氣、土地的溫柔與自由尊嚴。我們期盼讓電影成為一座橋樑，連結台灣與世界，連結跨世代的鄉親。

[TACNC 2026 Year of the Pegasus: A Resounding Success! ]
The "Year of the Pegasus" Lunar New Year Special Event, hosted by the Taiwanese American Center of Northern California (TACNC) on Sunday, Feb 1st, concluded with overwhelming success! We were deeply moved to see nearly 600-700 community members and friends filling the venue to capacity, filling the air with laughter and a vibrant Taiwanese New Year spirit!
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Director General David Chih-Hsiang Wu and Deputy Director General Yung-chang Chu of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco (TECO), and Director Sophia Chuang of the OCAC in Milpitas for their presence and warm blessings.

更感謝僑委會金山灣區僑教中心 OCAC in Milpitas莊主任親臨會場與大家同歡，為活動增添更多光彩。
活動中，會員也表達對會館元老們的感謝，感佩當年創立此充滿意義的聚會場所。Keng-lâm Su-īⁿ 耕南書院執行長亦於活動現場分享並推廣台語文化，使整個活動內容更加豐富精彩。

On November 25th, the Taiwanese American Center of Northern California hosted a warm and festive Thanksgiving luncheon , joined by nearly one hundred community members and friends.
We sincerely thank our devoted members for their generous support, which helped make this event a wonderful success .
We are also grateful to Director Chuang from the OCAC in Milpitas for joining us and celebrating together .
Members expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the founding elders of the Center for establishing such a meaningful gathering place. The Executive Director of Keng-lâm Su-īⁿ 耕南書院 also shared and promoted Taiwanese language and culture, adding richness and vibrancy to the event .

Last Thursday (November 20), the Taiwanese American Center of Northern California was honored to welcome Director General David Wu of Taiwan in San Francisco-駐舊金山臺北經濟文化辦事處 and Director Sophia Chuang of 僑委會金山灣區僑教中心 OCAC in Milpitas for their visit and guidance.
We are truly encouraged by their presence and deeply appreciate their attention to the development of our Taiwanese community in Northern California. Their visit once again demonstrated the government’s strong support for our overseas Taiwanese families.

為推廣健康知識，北加州台灣會館在9月推出了醫學講座，吸引了大批社區居民參與。19日第三場醫學講座如期舉辦，講解深入淺出，讓與會者對健康有了更全面的理解。講座旨在幫助大家提升對自身健康的認識，尤其是如何在日常生活中保持身、心、靈的全面健康。
講座中，主講醫師分享如何維持全人的健康，並重點討論心理健康的重要性、老年化的挑戰與機遇，以及靈性健康在整體健康中的角色。內容涵蓋了WHO對健康的定義，還科普了身心健康，經濟與社交需求的滿足也是健康的要素，分享了如何在身體、心理及社會上實現成功的老化，在壽命延長的同時保持生活質量。
包括維持良好的生活習慣、預防失智與憂鬱症、靈性照顧等。並結合醫學研究，以世界上最長壽的地區為例，向與會者介紹了怎麼在飲食、疫苗預防方面提高生活品質。
本次講座在與會者掌聲中結束。參與者紛紛表示，透過深入講解，他們對如何在生活中維持全人健康有了更清晰的認知，尤其是對心理健康和老年化相關挑戰的認識大大加深。

僑務委員會副委員長阮昭雄7月23日下午在金山灣區文教中心主任莊雅淑陪同下拜會北加州臺灣會館，與理事長廖俊惠伉儷、陳德輝名譽理事長、葉俊雄前理事長等人會面並進行意見交流。
當天理事長廖俊惠首先帶領阮昭雄參觀北加州臺灣會館，除簡介會館成立宗旨及例行性舉辦的活動，並就承辦臺灣傳統週文化訪問團聖荷西展演、聲援臺灣參加WHA日內瓦宣達團，以及辦理臺灣華語文學習中心，深入舊金山市立圖書館等社教體系，開設Google TCML專班等重大活動成果進行展示。
阮昭雄表示，僑委會未來重點工作包括拓展臺僑在海外主流社會的影響力，向歐美主流社會推展臺灣華語文學習中心，這不僅是推展臺灣華語文教育，也包含了文化交流及自由民主價值的共享；在臺灣的人才培育方面，包括擴大僑生的教育機會，提供頂尖及傑出僑生入學獎學金方案，並且在移民政策上也相對應進行調整，以利招募更多優秀人才到臺灣。
阮昭雄肯定北加州臺灣會館協助政府推動僑務工作發展，及對臺灣鄉親的服務、傳承臺灣文化的努力，以及不遺餘力辦理臺灣華語文學習中心，尤其Google TCML專班成功成為典範。

【🔥 2026 島嶼光影灣區影展首場啟動！7/19《老鷹之手》隆重登場 】

「北加州台灣會館」將於下半年與「耕南書院」、「北加州台灣文體會」及多個灣區社團共同主辦「2026 台灣國際民主誌影展・島嶼光影灣區影展」。今年影展以「未竟的自由」為年度主題，講述著民主的勇氣、土地的溫柔與自由尊嚴。我們期盼讓電影成為一座橋樑，連結台灣與世界，連結跨世代的鄉親。
